Violence and punishment are promised by this government, rather than actual governance and support. No defensible government should ever turn its fangs and claws towards it's citizenry, and every instance of this violence should be challenged.

The lesson:

It is slow, banal, and easy to acclimate to the violence of this current American regime. Be weary of how much violence you gradually accept by being desensitized to "small, isolated incidents", individual arrests, raids, etc..

Incremental changes do not invoke reactions, even if those changes are detrimental, hazardous, or deadly to its recipient(s).

In short, what the pro-democracy, pro-populist efforts we are witnessing are trying to prevent in the US is its own self-colonization (snake eating its own tail). Africans have seen all of this before, have long since had enough, and are finally able to back leadership that understands that.
