why wouldnt you have 5 potential candidates for every safe seat, every election? even if they dont unseat the incumbent in the primary now you have 5 potential school board members, county commissioners, city council members, etc, not to mention keeping the incumbent acctble to their constituents

Dems have no plan for their bench. its 2008 all over again where the “next generation” of candidates are a) the people who have paid their dues and not those most ready to represent their districts and b) likely going to be in their 60s by the time the incumbent retires/passes away
