ROFL. I had the opposite problem yesterday. Ordered by Dunkin breakfast sandwich and the app messed up so they gave me 2. Spent the whole morning trying to stay awake with an overfull stomach.

Just for the record, this is mostly just Bloomington being discussed also. The regional campuses are struggling to keep basic majors as well, just because our overall enrollments are smaller. We are collateral damage basically.

Elected Republicans are coalescing around the talking point that CBO's tax cut estimates are complete fiction and that tax cuts pay for themselves.

Well, CBO's 2018 and 2019 revenue estimates - which included the previous year's TCJA - were ... 99.5% accurate. 🧡

And that was with every advantage the refs could give the Knicks. Looked like your sport out there are times.

That was fucking awesome! That crazy as shot bouncing 20 feet in the air, falling in, but his toe was on the line? insane.

Does the data show that about another R? Hasn't Trump's ability to bring out low propensity voters been his key to success and almost been unique?

And in that same time, student writing has gotten demonstrably worse. At least the grades I give have gone down. So they are passing, but...

The same day that their excellent reporting also led to the release of a hall of fame kicker, a rightly so. This is sad, but they did their job well.

Yeah, I mean we HAVE the "miracle" treatment for it already so why would we need to create a new one? Let scientists work on other diseases...

For this reason, I always loved my once congressmen, then after I moved away senator from MD, Ben Cardin. He was utterly boring, a good guy, and an expert of fiscal issues who wrote detailed tax code and other legislation. He was who you should want writing legislation for it to actually work.

Shrug, isn't that what most of us are doing now on this topic for the next 3ish years?

Cornwall did something similar when he went back and wrote Sharpe novels from his India days. Really enjoyed them and the somewhat different context.

yup, and most of the people who support him will believe it was a W somehow.

True on the later, but Clarks has half gone out of business as a show company now sadly. All their retail stores are gone for example, which is sad as they were good dress shoes.

In principle, I agree. Where I get stuck is what she was "desperate" for because much of that was actually manufactured not real. That's the part I struggle most to have sympathy for, people with basically decent lives acting like they are desperate because they don't have perfection.

The irony is that this is what Biden spent 4 years saying and doing, and was part of why his reputation suffered. Not all of the reason, don't get me wrong. But if you act this way, as one should, the media attacks you as a failure, this is much of the problem.

Awesome, it's always nice to hear about having positive impacts and fun to hear about the things you've gone on to do and be. And yeah connects like that are what's good about social media (and what it once started as), even if it means constant posts about rugby jerseys. πŸ˜—

Yeah there are plenty of works that age badly, but not all do. I get very tired of the crowd that look down on works just because they are old now.
