I wouldn’t say China is a minor threat considering their ambition with the northwest passage. It’s basically the same ambition as trumps.

No one is saying Canada needs to bow to trump. We should fight back but you need to fight smart.

What trump is doing is he’s using it to extort more concessions from Canada.

You don’t want to bend to the whims of a maniac but you also don’t want to grant him leverage. Jobs are on the line.

Trump is using this to threaten negotiations to extort last minute concessions.

Owning maga is not worth the livelihood of our fellow Canadians.

This is bad news but it’s not carneys fault and he is engaging with them. We don’t even know what the final deal with the US will look like.

Not sure what tariffs would accomplish at this point. Trump ideologically wants tariffs on all countries. No one is tariff free.

At some point we need to give stability back to businesses.
