A square of crochet next to two balls of yarn and a wooden-handled crochet hook, spread out on a white and blue patterned duvet cover. The crochet is in shades of blue and green, slowly shifting colours from the centre to the edge.

I am crocheting this with a 2.5mm hook out of fingering-weight yarn and I’ve used about half the yarn I have. It’s currently about 3’4” square.

What am I doing? Why am I doing this? It is taking until the heat death of the universe.
