Last year's shutdown of @glitch.com was a huge blow to my pedagogy. Glitch was ideal for creative coding classes and workshops. I looked around for alternatives. But there was nothing that was open, decentralized, and not at the mercy of VCs or Big Tech.

So I built my own. Here's Glitchlet.

TN’s non-tenure-track faculty are already myriad, overworked, and underpaid, and this could do tremendous work pushing everybody in that increasingly tenuous direction.

Would make things substantially worse for TN students and institutions, since you basically couldn’t hire experienced faculty from other states with tenure bc they’d lose it if they came + you’re probably only hiring early-career faculty w no other options.
