hmm... if you have access to it, maybe KISS KISS BANG BANG? Not new so maybe not on streaming, but I've been on a Val Kilmer kick recently and it's pretty funny

The problem isn't that transphobic parents are being ignored, it's that they're *lying about basic facts.* This is the dynamic on nearly every issue of public interest, from guns to climate change to economics.

"The bigots are lying again" is a fucking great message for democrats and it's true.

Today show some support to an author who is important to you. Send a message on social media or the contact form on their website. Bonus points if their books are being banned. Bonus bonus points if they're from a community that is being targeted. Cannot overstate how meaningful these notes can be.

It's totally worth it to get a high quality cabin air filter for your car! They're like $30 for most cars and pretty easy to install

I love them, I swear I will send money to their commissary if they actually get arrested

Just went around and closed all the windows and turned on the air filters πŸ™ƒ
But the trees are moving in the wind outside so I'm hopeful that it'll clear as quickly as it came on

And … the AQI is going up here in the PNW. Take it easy, drink lots of water, mask up if you are going outside.

You don't actually know what will or will not make a difference which is why it matters to try to do things.

I finished Margaret Killjoy's THE SAPLING CAGE this morning while waiting for my kid to get his cavities filled, so I can verify that this book is super cute and also full of subtly provocative politics and terrifying monsters. 5/5 stars I love it

A tsunami advisory has been issued for Washington’s outer coast. State Parks has announced that ocean beaches are closed & people are advised to stay off the beaches until further notice. They are not closing campsites at this time, but campers will be alerted of the advisory.

That's truly impressive. I only go to Costco like once a month, and every time I'm there I look at the bikes at the bike rack and just marvel

This photo should be on the front page of every newspaper in the world, all the easier for liberals who still 'support' the state of Israel, whatever the fuck that means, to ignore it, blame everyone but Israel, whatever they've done for nearly 2 years of livestreamed crimes against humanity.

Bright pink poppy-like wildflowers in the fresh dirt beside Pipeline Trail bike path

Rode Tacoma’s newest stretch of Pipeline Trail bike path today and had a delightful time. 26 miles, gorgeous wildflowers, three bike shops, a handful of yard sales, perfect views of the mountain, and vegan nachos at Church Cantina to top it off

My comp titles are the smell of your grandmother's hair that comes from the old pressed flowers in her linen closet, and the knowledge that you'll never smell exactly that smell ever again in this life

As promised, in light of the WaPo report of Everglades camp detainees being swarmed by mosquitoes in the shower and unable to sleep at night due to being bitten, I want to briefly address concentration camp history and mosquitoes. I won't be comprehensive but will give a few examples. [1/17]

Due to tariffs, we're likely to hear a lot about farm mental health as harvest approaches this year. Especially scary stories about farmer suicide.

So let's get it on the record now. The "farmer suicide epidemic" of the last few years in the US is not real.

It's a lobbying tactic.
