The US cutting off oil to Cuba is truly one of the most depraved acts it is possible to imagine. Hospitals will close, food production will collapse, people will starve. It is urgent for US citizens, and every sane person, to oppose this barbarism with all their might.

Just off a call w Jeffrey Tumlin, who was the Director of Transportation of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency 2019-2024... when robotaxis came to town.
He says Oregon is at risk of copying CA's failure by letting Waymo come in w/o local regulations.
HB 4085 is really bad folks!!

A thin sheet of cherry, in the arc of the mdf mold, with five spruce horizontal braces roughly evenly spaced along it's length. The end braces are kinda rough; the middle three are shaped into a peak along their length. The middle three also have masking tape on either side of the brace.
Here's why I built the mold. This is one of two cylinder arched backs for the octave mandolins I'm building braced up. (The wood is cherry with some nice curl in the figure)

I thought about why Iβve been pushing back on stolen midterm fears. Whatβs the harm of worry, even if it doesnβt materialize?
Itβs this. The regime has less capacity than itβd like, and tries to make up the difference with bluster. If people act as if itβs true, that grants the regime more power.

If left labor hadnβt kept the Portland Police Association out of the labor council, NOLC would likely be supporting PPAβs raid on the Portland Clean Energy Fund now instead of the police being supported by just some huge developers & capitalists.
These institutional battles have huge consequences.

They'll be in the gold medal match, guaranteed at least a silver.

When you see unhoused people asking for money what you should see is a fracturing of the social contract where an issue (housing) that should be addressed on a municipal or statuary level is instead foisted on individuals in a way designed o put callouses on their souls
