Broadly true. I hope society continues to evolve in that direction.

When I was in high school in β€˜90’s Australia the β€˜rule’ was divide by two plus seven. So an 18yo could date a 16yo, 30yo with no younger than 22, 40 with 27… still holds up pretty well. Epstein would’ve been seen the creep he was.

Sorry, that’s not what Pinker wrote. As nerdskull so eloquently put it, read the damn text. It’s like being in a tutorial class where nobody did the readings in here ffs. Not trying to defend racists, just not a fan of ppl making shit up.

Two separate statements in two separate paragraphs, one about ideas he’s taught, another on research done by colleagues at Harvard. Nowhere does he make any argument that black people are β€˜genetically less intelligent than white’ as you claimed. That’s why I asked for a quote.

Give us a quote. I think you’re extrapolating beyond the text, but I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

Transgender Activists Question the Movement’s Confrontational Approach (Gift Article) Facing diminishing public support, some activists say all-or-nothing tactics are not working. β€œWe have to make it OK for someone to change their minds.”

Slightly misleading screenshot crop. Did anyone commenting read the (entire) article? It's about some activists questioning whether a less confrontational approach might win them more support... www.nytimes.com/2024/11/26/u...
