I concur, though, with the poster below who argues that this is not anarchic governance. It is "anarchy" in the sense of chaos, ignorance, disorganization (and cosplay, across the board). But the style of governance, if one can call it that, is fascistic and authoritarian, characterized by chaos.

I have been bewildered by this for years now -- "What do you mean, there's no way to intervene in the way an LLM works?" Now, we are stuck with this crop of "black box" bots being foisted on us from all directions, and an industry devoid of regulation, which is very scary.

You ask a good question. Machine learning should be able to quantify language differences and be programmed to reroute or stop the conversation. But that would require concern from the AI developers and a different approach to programming early on, to allow for intervention.

This should have been mandated from the get-go.
It is unconscionable that it is not; I suspect this was the intended course of [in]action. At many points earlier in the protracted AI "rollout," regulations could have been implemented, and they were distinctly not. Now we have to slosh in the mire.

All I can think is, "What a fucking loser." I mean, I hate Stephen Miller with every cell in my body, and I could use many more incisive phrasings to describe how vile, ghoulish, and execrable he is, but, just... what a fucking loser. "We are so much more hardcore." OK, loser!

Hear, hear. Every time I use Word or PPT, I am disturbed by some new fuckery that makes the functioning worse. Sometimes I have to wander around in the program to figure out how to do something that was formerly clear and self-explanatory; where did they hide it? Is it gone? Maddening.
