Ginger and I each started out litigating for records on electronic privacy, the environment, and supporting federal whistleblowers. Since then we’ve seen agencies from the inside, how they think, what they know, and what they don’t.

Starting tomorrow, we're working with advocacy groups, independent journalists, newsrooms, and anyone else who wants open government records. We know how to get the documents the government doesn’t want seen.

Until today, we were attorneys with FERC (me) and FEMA (Ginger), ensuring freedom of information meant something at our agencies. Like many, we took the resignation option. Transparency is no longer a priority of this federal government. We left to make it one in court.
