Similarly you have people who are laid low by the establishment and will align with the left when the left is seen as anti-establishment, but will flip sides depending on who is perceived to be in power while they suffer.

There are a lot of people who sort themselves into the left principally because the right wing has alienated them with unlivable bigotry, not because they read theory or even because they're particularly concerned with the suffering of others. Plenty of reactionary people.

Left-flavored ConSOOMer activism is conspiratorial, reactionary, and uninformed. Not coincidentally, it's often toothless. There's a reason why successful boycotts and pressure campaigns are planned by trusted institutions with specific goals.

This also a situation where conspiratorial thinking makes it impossible to evaluate both the motivations of your extensible enemies and the appropriate threat model for how to deal with them.
