Romeo Stargazer Age 24 / Male / 190cm / Born November 5, 1995 The protagonist of the story. Originally a rookie deputy sheriff stationed in Deadford, Caliban County. He lost half his face and his right arm in the incident that started it all, and was resurrected as a half-dead "DeadMan" thanks to his grandfather Benjamin's technology. The key piece is the DeadGear, a helmet that maintains his vitals and lifeforce. After his resurrection, the FBI Space-Time Police suddenly appears and recruits him as a trainee investigator to track down space-time fugitives hiding out in the shattered universe. He is also a stalwart older brother to Luna, his innocent kid sister. His grandfather Ben is more like his best friend than family. He’s got a knack for the occult and mystical.

i think with vns i'm so goddamn picky about artwork and a lot of what gets localized seems aimed at a less mature demographic both in writing and presentation. so it's hard to say i like the genre but i do like certain games within the genre. really similar to how i feel about JRPGs i guess

there's a pretty clear split between loving the history/culture and wanting to make a product, even if both are relevant. but I wonder how much a modernist mindset hurts the new games we get, probably a lot

I don't think everything needs a remake (especially if it's just 1:1)

but statements like this are a reminder of the difference between fans and creators. saying that a game is "cringe" or whatever because it's old is baby brain garbage
