There are def issues with AI. But, I am a reasonably good coder, and AI helps me. My cognitive load is much lower when reviewing code it has already generated than when writing the code entirely from scratch myself. Also, it's great at creating unit tests and other mundane things.

A lot of what happens as part of U.S. policy is a form of kabuki theater or pantomime as opposed to an attempt to solve problems.

Take ICE as an example. If you really wanted to stop illegal immigration, just fine employers $1M per offense when they hire undocumented folks. It would stop overnight.

I thought the show was a poor substitute for the normal fireworks show. I hope they bring that back next year.
