Does anyone have any experience of the CGP A-level maths textbooks? We do Edexcel at my school and I’ve used the Blue and Brown Pearson books in the past and we are considering buying a set. Or is textbook use out-moded and a waste of money? #ALevelMaths

Nice bit of real life data to work into a statistics or #CoreMaths lesson... could probably argue it ticks the British Values box, too 🤣 #MathsToday

I’m teaching Edexcel #ALevelMaths and for the first time in the (not so) new spec, further maths with FP1 and D1 as our options.
Does any one have some shortish (well, shorter than Edexcel’s own) transition/Summer work for y11->y12 and/or for y12->y13 for both they would be willing to share please?

I feel I really should already know this, but in the paper 3 stats/mechanics exam, are they given both papers at start of the exam or one of the papers half way through? If it makes any difference, we do Edexcel. TIA

Calling #CoreMaths teachers, esp AQA. For salaries between 100 000 and 125 140, I guess we determine the reduction in personal allowance by halving the salary in excess of the 100k, but do we ignore any remainder?
E.g. does a salary of 100 003 reduce the PA by £1 or £1.50? Tia

Has anyone noticed an apparent anomaly with the black Casio Fx991cw and the CG50? I marked a students paper and couldn’t understand why his probabilities were all 0.0001 out.
