Alright, that's inking done on the MisVil art, and I'm going to stop there for the day. Tomorrow, need to finalize color palate and hopefully start painting.

Okay, just three flowers, some vines, and half a wing left till I'm done inking.

Hopefully, what I'm trying with half a dozen different ink colors ends up working, but you just really can't ink fire in black.

Okay, just Song Qingshi's hair, and then I'll be ready to switch inks and do a million flowers.

Honestly, in inking a drawing like this on cold press, the hair is what takes the longest, because there are so many lines and the curves need to be smooth.

Okay, got Song Qingshi and Yue Wuhan's faces inked; gonna call it there for the day.

Okay, pencils done! Time to start inking. Shall I get fancy and multicolored with it? This is gonna have such a stark color palate, I think I might.

Okay, lets see if I can get the pencils done on the MisVil piece today. Now with bonus little white mice, Because.

Tragically, Yue Wuhan and Song
Qingshi were definitely the fast part of this. Now I have to draw ten million miles of thorny vines and flowers.

Nice thing about naked people is, way fewer lines to transfer than when there are clothes. But you don't even want to know how much time I had to spend getting the angle of Song Qingshi's leg right.

So I signed up to do a pinch hit for the danmei Gotcha for Gaza, and was asked for nsfw #MisVil art. Starting work on transferring the pencils to watercolor paper now.

Wow, I sure did collapse on the daily fic rec plan. In my defense, the Horrors. Maybe try to do two a day for a week or so to catch up. In the meanwhile! I have also finally defeated the anatomy on the sketch for the art I'm working on, so I can start posting progress pics again.

Fifth fic rec of the year: How Many Coincidences in a Conspiracy? is a fairly long TGCF fic that I enjoyed quite a lot; a divergent AU in which Xie Lian drowned at sea at one point and washed up near He Xuan's island, and then they grew on each other.
