Anyone on this website using the MovinkPad Pro as a desktop pen display? Is it laggy?

I'm in the market for a new desktop tablet, but the mobility of the Moink is tempting......

What if Patrick Warburton voiced Hornet? I think it'd sound like this:

Lisa is not only a great artist and a fantastic team lead but also just a general delight to be around. I never felt happier at my job than I did having a 1:1 with her.

If you're hiring, give her a job offer RIGHT NOW and pray she accepts.

A Belgian-looking guy with a tall hat, mustache, and pendant on his coat. The pendant has a diamond-shaped eye. He is smoking a glass pipe. Out of the pipe and hat, streams of smoke form snake and dragon-like creatures with eyes and wings. They are silly. They represent the silliness the man is afraid to express himself for fear of being vulnerable. Will he ever be able to open up to his loved ones? Is meaningful connection beyond his grasp?

A key bard strums their little guitar with their little clawed hands. The guitar has soft, kissable lips. Tragically, the bard's face is an un-lipped, un-kissable (??) field of stars with a nova in the middle. They still make it work. Above the bard floats a luminous keyhole. The bard's cape is plush and blue. The bard's hat is a disc adorned with dangling notes and reminders about the key's birthday and favorite Ninjago characters. Ninjago is their love language.

Update: not bad! Definitely could have made the smoke critters darker and done some bolder color blends. wish I’d printed smaller also

Various houses built out of woodland materials. Top left: An example of the kind of urban density illegal in most of the US, with several spiky, mushroom-shaped houses stacked on top of each other and lashed together with sinuous strands of unknown material. Top right: A handful of concepts of different mushroom houses, some in a kind of clamshell design, others looking more like wood mushrooms. Bottom left: A starberry, suspended by twisting, gnarled vines. Bottom center: Sketch of a couple of starberry shapes. Bottom right: Twisting vines reach up and curl back on themselves, small lantern-like flower pods suspended below at regular intervals.

An aerial view of an arena on a tropical beach. At SW and NE ends are resort buildings with pools in the center. Each building is flanked by statues of the Pokemon Blastoise and topped with a statue of the pokemon Sobble. The Sobble statue is crying fountains of water that pour into pools on either side. In the center of the arena is a small freshwater inlet, fed by a stream. At the SE corner is a shaded glen. At the NW corner is the shoreline, with catamarans and sailing boats in the bay. The boats look kinda like one of the seagull pokemon probably, if you squint.

I don't think I ever posted this environment concept.

yeah that's an interesting point. There's something that feels "function over form" about them, which ironically probably ends up adding to their appeal

I'm assuming. I never really liked Bionicles

17.06.2025 02:10 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Maybe it's the current media climate of "maximum appeal all the time" but there's something so charming about "ugly" or "amateurish" designs to me.

They give me good brain friction. Appealing designs are easy to love, stuff like Bionicles or Lethal Company?

Hooh boy, they make you work for it

I love threads like this because:

1) They provide good, thoughtful insights into a particular design philosophy, and

2) They prove that you can break any design "rules" upon the wheel, dip them in acid, chop them up, bake them into a pie, and still get designs that people love

Here issome images to show my professional work over the last few years. They're all the result of a huge effort by a group of people, but I believe I've had a considerable impact on their final look.

"We cough up a chunk of our soul": 32 game devs, from Doom's John Romero to Helldivers 2 and Palworld leads, explain what people get wrong about games Sam Barlow, Metaphor: ReFantazio leads, ConcernedApe's business head, indie legends, and many more weigh in

It's here! A story I've wanted to do for years and have been working on for months. I asked over 40 game devs one question: what is something that people get wrong about how games are made? Most of those devs are in here, some will be in a... future story. www.gamesradar.com/games/game-d...
