That march protested the freeing of a group of young men who murdered a young gay man, Declan Flynn, in a cruising area in a public park in 1982. The Tánaiste responded by saying what Israel is doing is a war crime…but took no accountability in the role we play to facilitate it.
Queer people have always questioned and challenged the very foundations we stand upon - we must keep doing so for all oppressed peoples.

I interrupted Simon Harris’ address to the Defending Freedoms conference in Dublin Castle.
The minister raised the work done by Ireland for LGBT people, then I asked “what about the queer people in Gaza we facilitate the murder through Shannon Airport”
