I did some of these things. I finished a book, scanned a load of academic papers into my reference app and recycled many. I tidied my desk, ignored housework, day dreamed. A lovely restful day of being rather than doing. Same again tomorrow?

A day to stay cosy. Going to enjoy low energy activities. Reading a book, painting, making a card for our new neighbour. Drinking lots of tea & snuggling under a blanket knitted by an old friend from Twitter. Privileged today to be able to ignore housework, internet debates & global politics.

I hear you. But it is an act of kindness being offered I guess. It comes from a good place. Maybe counter with an offer to cycle with them another week and show them a nice route? I offer lifts too when I drive because I never know anyone’s circumstances but am happy to have my offers declined. ☺️
