Out today from Audible, my new STAR WARS audiobook, THE JAWS OF JAKKU, with a beautiful cover by @jakebartok.bsky.social & excellent narration by @iamhelensadler.bsky.social

Rey! Finn! Leia! BB-8! Monsters! Rivalry! Adventure!

Head to your Audible account to listen and let me know what you think!

Listening now and getting very nostalgica for all the Force Awakens tie-in books about Jakku. Any chance you could provide the spellings for any of the new subjects, Leesa Chaffni, Naldri, and Velorie Sarcon would be especially useful!

Quietly freaking out at seeing canon @wookofficial.bsky.social articles based on "The Failing of the Light" beginning to pop up.

Great to know whose behind all the great entries on there! Hope we see more obscure Original Trilogy and Prequel Trilogy characters making their way back on there some day like in the previous version of the Databank.

The Sacred Jedi Texts. Index, page 1. Luke's library on Ahch-To: Luke traveled the galaxy collecting artifacts of the ancient Jedi religion, including 8 volumes of Jedi scripture. Some of the texts have been identified, while others remain unnamed at time of writing. To keep track of them, we have elected to index each book, based on the order that they appear in Luke's library. The index starts with JT01 (Aionomicum I) on the far left, through JT08 (The Rammahgon) on the far right. (There is an accompanying screenshot from The Last Jedi (2017 film): Rey's hand reaches towards a row of 8 books with strange bindings, which rest on a raised stone shelf. Some of the books have alien writing on their spines, while others are relatively bare, they are all of different dimensions; they look ancient, earthy, and worn. Text is overlayed on the screenshot, labelling the texts from left to right as described in the accompanying text. Four of the books are also labeled with names: JT01 is 'Aionomicum I'; JT05 has the bracketed title '[TLJ Hero]'; JT06 is 'Aionomicum II'; and JT08 is 'The Rammahgon'. To the right, two more titles are acknowledged thus: 'Known Texts without Positive ID: The Chronicles of Brus-bu (JTX1) and Poetics of a Jedi (JTX2)')

Done my best to line up the new Star Wars Galaxy Map with the traditional galactic regions and the map of alternate regions given in The Galactic Explorer's Guide. I'm no expert in photoshop and haven't aligned it perfectly, but figure this might still be useful to some folks out there #StarWars

I don't think so, and definitely interesting to hear your thoughts! I imagine we'll treat it all as canon only based on this, but will let you know if the community decides differently. Hope you've got a podcast or something lined up soon for a deep dive on this stuff!

26.06.2025 14:09 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yeah it's certainly something that I could see the benefit of for some systems specifically, but stuff like the Lothal sector change would cause a lot of complications for Legends. Plus there aren't any new Legends sources coming out to resolve or give context to changes either.

Ah that answers my question perfectly, thanks and sorry for being a bother!

Yes. A good example would be Derenzil from Complete Locations, which exists in both continuities but without coordinates in either until now. Does the new coordinate S-18 apply to both continuities? (Sorry if this is very pedantic, but it would make our lives much easier to have it clarified)

26.06.2025 13:33 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

A user's started adding the coordinates and details from the new Star Systems table to our Legends continuity pages, e.g. Zakuul, saying that it's been confirmed to apply to both them and the pages for the current Disney-era continuity. Is the intention for the table to cover both?

@jasoncfry.bsky.social Hearing rumblings on Wookieepedia that the new star systems appendix applies to Legends as well as canon, could you confirm if it's true?

26.06.2025 13:15 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

A new galaxy map mini-FAQ:

1) Not everything in the appendix is mapped. Places not on the map still exist!

2) Kamino isnโ€™t here because itโ€™s in a satellite galaxy.

3) No listing for Zonama Sekot because no fixed coordinates. (Love how many ZS queries I got!)

4) People love SW and maps!

As part of the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith, a selection of some of my from-the-set reporting that ran from 2003-2005 has been reprinted on StarWars-com, with a new introduction.

๐Ÿ“ฃSmall, yet useful cosmetic fix incoming! The categories at the top of Wookieepedia articles have been split into in-universe categories and ones that aren't, separating out site maintenance categories and others.

@thesteveorlando.bsky.social just finished Ewoks 4 and adored all of the Ewoks television show cameos. I don't suppose the script named any of the characters or species seen in the last panel?

Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!

Hi @infinata.bsky.social, been researching Blue Squadron and found what seems to be two different pilots with the helmet belonging to Robich Duggsin acording to the Visual Guide. Did you have one of them in mind specficially when creating the name, or is this something for a future story to decide?
