You know what? We're on the wrong end of forty years of decimation against public transport in Canada. If the enthusiasts want to take matters into their own hands I say we let them.

Volta Grid, which is definitely somehow Irving, said: "After years of paper and oil based climate and social villainy a jump into the digital world felt right!"

I had the opportunity today to confront Environment Minister Halman about this face to face. He passed the buck saying his department "has concerns", but that responsibility rests with Minister Masland. Let's keep up the pressure from all angles and we can crack them.
12.11.2025 18:25 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0It happens more than you'd think! There's a hardware store in Mississippi that has the same name as the one I work at in NS. At least once a week I'll pick up the phone to a thick southern accent. Occasionally, if they just need advice, we're actually able to help out too!
11.11.2025 13:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In this story I'm talking about Middleton, but I grew up essentially pan-valley from moving around a bit.
I live outside Kingston now, but I spend most of my week in Wolfville at Acadia.
I was in Palenque, MX, hanging out intermittently with two different pairs of Belgians. On day four the whole group met up for the first time and we discovered that two of them from alternate pairs lived three doors apart in Ghent.
Also, in rural Alaska, I once met someone from my hometown in NS.

Nova Scotia is cracking down on environmentalists guarding our surviving 0.5% of old growth forest after years of record breaking flooding, fire, and drought.

Seconded on the Examiner! Brilliant staff and absolutely deserve the support! You can give subscriptions as gifts too. Canada wide I'd recommend The Tyee, The Narwhal, and The Independent out of St. John's.
05.11.2025 01:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Any form of independent media is an endangered species these days between Post Media flooding the zone and CBC trying to suck up to the people who want them dead.
Fortunately we've got some great community papers in rural NS now. I just hope they hold strong.
Trust me, we remember choking back our principles to vote Carney in over the Hitler Youth Elf on a Shelf. That doesn't change the fact that having a PM who rehashes Con policies from the '90s isn't going to fix anything. It just means the fight for a sustainable future is on multiple fronts.
05.11.2025 01:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The schadenfreude among the Con voters here in Annapolis County is pretty enjoyable, but the moderates who are now convinced that D'Entremont is a great guy after six years of him apathetically supporting a long string of bullies is a little maddening.
05.11.2025 01:12 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And with that, NS was swept red. He's been my MP as long as I've been old enough to vote and I haven't voted for him once. Don't let him convince you he grew a spine. He's had years to decide Poilievre was a dealbreaker. He just got tired of being on the losing side.

Hurricanes have been intensifying for decades due to capitalogenic climate change.
World eaters like Exxon and BP have known about this since the 1960s and deliberately covered it up to protect profits.
