We who have βsurvivedβ this virus (level3biohazard) knew that SARS2 was/is going to have a long tail - βlivingβ with all the residual damage it causes. Ed has been consistent in his exceptional articles & as a living example protecting oneself & others. Kudos for not giving up. This is the way.

While not a classic airborne disease, norovirus is another bug that can be transmitted through the air. Vomiting and diarrhoea can create aerosols which could be ingested directly or deposit on surfaces. Hand hygiene, surface hygiene and ventilation can all help mitigate.

Here's an excerpt from π
"The utility of this overall approach is that the model describes airborne disease transmission in a way that better describes what is actually happening. For example, clearly short distance transmission is more likely and important to consider."

Location, Location, Location: Aerosol Inhalation
Aerosol can stay in the air for days. So, why then does it readily deposit in your lungs? Why isnβt it simply exhaled?
In my latest explainer video I discuss how/where aerosol deposits in the lungs, and how a misunderstanding of this process has led to confusion around masks.

βDonβt worry about the kidsβ they said (based on no scientific evidence)
βThereβs more chance of children being hit by a bus than catching Sars2β
Some even advocated mass infection in children for βherd immunityβ
2/those of us worried about potential long term health risks in children, who advocated for the Precautionary Principle were ignoredβ¦
β¦.And yet we now have more evidence of replication competent viral persistence in childrenβ¦while we continue to allow our kids to be
3/re-exposed & reinfected with SARS2 repeatedly knowing this virus is damaging brains & blood vessels & dysregulating immune systemsβ¦.& even now 5yrs in we are not doing a damn thing to protect our kids, our futureβ¦& LC rates continue to climbπ‘
