Public transit is not a solution to dangerous, reckless driving where people are killed or seriously injured. Even if you had a good transit system, you will still have these lunatics killing people.

Jersey City – we have more snow coming our way!

At this time, weather forecasts remain uncertain & highly variable.

The city has three full salt domes and is preparing staff and equipment for Sunday.

I have to say I'm really disappointed with the way the city managed snow removal over the past few weeks.

A few days ago I saw people getting off the 87 at Ferry & Central and there was a pile of snow and ice right as you exit the bus. Passengers, including an older woman, struggled to maneuver through the snow. This is one of the busiest stops in the city.

They just believe what they are told.

Where would see you the other half of the loop going? I think it would be useful to bring more awareness to HBLR riders at Liberty State Park and Garfield Station. Like if a bus is coming, then maybe the signs can alert riders. If most riders are just going to PATH or Newport.

A fedex truck is partially in a lane in traffic and blocking a crosswalk near the courthouse in Jersey City.

Stuff like this is what delays the 80 and 84 buses. A fedex truck partially blocking Newark Ave at quarter to 5 in the evening.

Why is the California Coastal Commission blocking the installation of bike lanes?

Why is Caltrans still expanding climate destroying freeways?

Similar behavior from the guy that negligently killed my brother. Hx of seizures that he lied to the DMV about continuously over a period of time. Attempted to delete dashcam video, transferred assets, and only expressed remorse before trying to negotiate a tax advantaged structured settlement.

When I was in Paris, all buses required you to enter from the front except for a bendy bus I was on, then everyone could board all doors. I’m not sure how anyone would know. But I assume this line is probably treated the same as trams.

Based on some anecdotal experiences, looks like ridership is picking up on the 16 bus.

Illegal parking delayed the fire department yesterday in Bergen Lafayette. This is the kind of stuff that happens when drivers who so much privilege in our society. I see this all the time when they impede buses.

This is the tire additive that kills salmon when it gets into runoff, and is added to tires to protect them from being damaged by car exhaust.

Ban the additive, ban car exhaust, then finally #bancars

Drivers constantly illegally park here, so it makes it difficult for people with mobility issues to board the bus. The stop is also not optimized for bus being able to pull into the curb.

Starting a thread for some Hudson County’s busiest bus stops. I’ll start with “Bergen Ave 115’s south of Glenwood Ave” or SB Bergen Ave at Montgomery. This stop sees over 200 on and 200 off daily boardings. This stop serves the 80, 87 & 8.

Gotta do the post all over again because some silly person or people at Bluesky are against the ability to edit posts. It’s so stupid.

What we use the street for is a choice

And business was actually up throughout the corridor during the enforcement pilot.

Parking turnover was up. Spending was up. Parking transactions were up. All signs were positive.

It’s really frustrating that a handful of people are blocking this program from being restored.

Don’t want to inconvenience inconsiderate people who double park, but it’s totally okay to inconvenience bus riders on 4th busiest bus line in NJ.

We had a system that automatically sent these violations to HPU to be ticketed along lower Washington, but @tiffaniefisher.bsky.social fought for its repeal.

As chair of the Transportation SC, she now holds the authority to reintroduce and expand the program to upper Wash anytime she wants.
