The basic formula for US LRT is stiching fast pre-existing ROWS together with slow street-running sections. Whether or not this formula works depends on the following:

1. Land use along the existing ROW (Highway median = bad)

2. Relative length of fast and slow sections (more street-running = bad)

Was on a bus in Newark earlier and it reminded me how much freedom I felt I had on a bike. I biked on a lot of sidewalks because nobody was around walking (which is also quite sad), and when someone was on the sidewalk I just got off my bike and walked it until I passed them.

Zoning Board has to vote 5-2 for the variances (height & ground-floor retail use) to be approved. If you live in the Hts, you shpuld attend & make a few comments in favor.

This is so neat. In Medellín, these little buses are used to transport people from the San Javier Metro station because of they have to maneuver very steep streets and tight corners.

In a road rage incident tonight, a Korean speaking pedestrian was assaulted and then run over the ankles by a driver. They were taken to the hospital and sounds like they will be okay.
