5 Live is bad, but the non sports stuff is worse than the sports.

Well, my funeral suit (other people's funerals) no longer fits. It dates back to 1996ish and has been a bit marginal for a while.

"Full speed ahead to uber-woke, net-zeroist rejoinerism" is the funniest thing a Labour MP has said for some time I'll give it that. It's like a Jordan Peterson quote about Elmo.

And their main complaint against Labour was that we're building cycle lanes! There's something about spending a lot of time in a car that makes you more right-wing I think

Morgan McSweeney resigns as Downing Street chief of staff Exit of Mandelson protรฉgรฉ comes as Sir Keir Starmer seeks to stave off leadership speculation

Right that the prime minister has resigned. His successor, Keir Starmer, has a very difficult inheritance.

Not to overanalyse, but this pattern: send out ministers to defend bad decision in the morning media round, walk back bad decision in the afternoon is what ultimately killed Johnson's administration.

If you could somehow promise 10 of the 100000 + conurbations "you can have a tram and someone else will pay for it" they would turn it down because of the disruption and the reduced car capacity

I do have strong views on this - and it is very cheems. I agree that growth is hard and you probably can't get developing country/catch up country growth, but I think we have been entirely too accepting of the idea that growth has bumped around 0 since the GFC and nothing could have been done.

Yes, this is the standard Virgin Media experience.

(To cross the streams, this is another element of why the country is just angry.)
