(3/3) Now people just post screenshots of entire articles, which cuts out the news sites entirely — no clicks, no traffic, no revenue. It’s like applying laws made for newspapers to a world where the internet exists. And it’s not helping journalism — it’s hurting it.

(2/3) Bill C-18 was supposed to support journalism and fight misinformation, but all it’s done is make legitimate news harder to share. Meanwhile, the platforms are being told they should pay just for user posting links to articles that are already freely available online. That’s… absurd.
