Doing a little research for a 'project' I stumbled across @martcarroll.bsky.social 's great little Eurogamer piece about the Ultimate Play The Game map competitions that ran in Crash and PCG/Zzap! back in the day. Reminded me to polish my own little doohickey (and no, that isn't a euphemism).

So many memories, all just as good as a cold bottle of Ice Cream Soda straight off the Corona man's van! ❤️

to grab something to eat before my parents both came home from work! Then having to wash up and clean up after myself whilst ensuring I never had the last tin of anything in the house that may have been needed for that evening's meal. I also had to make sure whatever food packaging I'd used (2/3)

A truly great read Hitch and so pleased I could inspire you to share this story. I lived out of town in the countryside as a kid when I had my Speccy so had to get the school coach home which prolonged the hunger pangs and meant I would get home much later than most kids so had even less time (1/2)
