What a great morning in Saratoga! This was my 5th community coffee of 2025, and I’m always impressed to see so many community members show up! From wildfire mitigation to utility rates to supporting community college students, I love hearing directly from my constituents about what they care about.

Day workers are among the most vulnerable members of our community, and it is important to support these organizations and their life changing work. (3/3)

15 years ago I had the chance to serve on the City of Palo Alto’s Infrastructure Blue Ribbon Commission, and our top recommendation was to build a new, seismically safe Public Safety Building.

Assemblymember Berman Refutes Trump’s lie that California’s Voting is Rigged: “President Trump is once again resorting to baseless lies about the security of California's elections systems to try to distract from the fact that Californians overwhelmingly oppose his policies and his presidency. Voting by mail is both safe and bipartisan. In fact, the President himself loves to vote by mail. But he hates to lose, which is why he's once again hurling unsubstantiated accusations about voter fraud. Although this is obviously a lie it is still terribly damaging, undermining voters' faith in our democracy. This isn't even a new lie. In 2017 he set up a presidential commission, chaired by Vice President Pence and backed by the full weight of the federal government, to scour the country for instances of voter fraud. Six months later he disbanded the commission after no voter fraud was found. This time is no different, but damage is still being done by this incessant eroding of Americans' faith in our democracy. It is truly un-American.”

Trump’s blatant lie about the validity of our election and CA’s use of vote-by-mail is simply un-American. 

I am proud to have written the law to make California a universal vote-by-mail state, and Trump's attempts to sow doubt in our voting system is dangerous to democracy — just like him.
