#TeamWard toured Gillespie Field with East County EDC, where local business parks, San Diego Air and Space Museum annex, and a shared CalFireSanDiego/SD Sheriff’s helicopter fleet show how this hub supports jobs, emergency response, and regional growth.

Last night, I joined the San Diego River Park Foundation for the ribbon cutting at Grant Park — a project I was proud to help secure state funding for back in 2021. It’s incredible to see how far it’s come, and I’m inspired by what’s still ahead. #AD78 #SummerRecess

It was an inspiring morning at the San Diego Zoo, where students connected with the generous donors and volunteers who make it all possible.

Thank you for the vital work you do to help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

I had the honor of meeting the dedicated staff and courageous clients at Survivors of Torture, International—a cornerstone of compassion in our San Diego community. Hearing their stories and witnessing the healing journey firsthand was incredibly powerful.

Yesterday, I had pleasure getting to join our San Diego Jewish community at the first J-Pride. As Chair of the Legislative LGBTQ Caucus and a member of the Legislative Jewish Caucus, it was wonderful getting to see these two communities come together to celebrate love, equity, and inclusion.

I hope you all continue to live as your authentic selves and never let anyone take away your PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️!

It was comforting to hear from Representatives Mike Levin, Scott Peters, Sara Jacobs, and Juan Vargas speak on how they are defending San Diego from these erratic federal policies. These policies are harmful and will drastically affect the constituents of #AD78.

I don’t usually get the opportunity to be in San Diego on a Wednesday, but since I’m here today, there is no better event to join than the @SDChamber Congressional Luncheon.

I am honored to recognize Mission Trails Regional Park as #AD78’s 2025 Nonprofit of the Year! This evening, I stopped by their donor event to celebrate the incredible work they do and learn more about their exciting plans for the future.

This year my bills help build more housing faster, protect ur personal data, & expand access to health & mental health care. I’m also cutting red tape in our schools, elections, & permitting systems. These are practical solutions 2 everyday problems—because u deserve a state gov that works for u.

This month we honor and recognize victims, survivors, and all communities who have been affected by gun violence. Now is the time for all of us to come together and recommit to ending gun violence 🧡 #AD78

Stripping his name, during Pride Month nonetheless, is a direct attack on veterans, LGBTQ+ rights, and history. They silenced Harvey Milk once—we won’t let them do it again. #AD78 #Pride

Honored to stand with veterans, allies, and community leaders this morning to oppose the effort to erase Harvey Milk’s name from the USNS Harvey Milk. He served our nation and called San Diego home—this ship was built and launched here in his honor.

For the past 13 years, Michael dedicated his time to serving the San Diego Jewish community as well as our immigrant and senior populations. Wishing him a well deserved and fulfilling retirement!
