Their enjoyment seems strictly exclusionary. They'll only enjoy it if they are part of a smaller percentage of players who can manage the difficulty.
I have no understanding how and why that works. If I play singleplayer it's singleplayer.

#GameDev with a decade+ experience. Made: Voidship and some other things. Worked on: Disco Elysium, Dream Engines, Good Robot, Unrest and plenty more. Next release hopefully: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2315110/Voidship_Redux/

Thanks for taking one for the team! :)

I also can't code unless your office door is closed.
Car hog??
Yes, please Aur!
Demo when?
It's a weird part of the job, but you get used to it.

Yeah don't rush it. You'll thank yourself later if you don't and end up more productive in the same overall timeframe.
Funnily I've never actually played Disco Elysium.
The release version that is.
Had my fill staring at that world for 2.5 years as a #gamedev replaying Hanged_Man and other dialogues for x200 times trying to get the cutscene timing logic to work right.
Maybe someday. In n more years.
Hey #indiedev s who use #gamemaker!
Been away for a bit and have a question:
How much effort is it currently to make a 3D game in GM Studio 2?
I have a game plan that is mechanically relatively simple. Choice is to hook 3D onto a GM project, or learn an engine I've used much much less like Unreal
If visual clutter is a problem, then it's probably worth it to overhaul these yes. I was just going by these screens alone and knowing the game previously.
10.03.2025 14:56 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I wish more devs would think about this and how different people have fun in different ways.
I often see some very low hanging fruit dev effort wise in games that would be amazing feature adds. But it's not what the dev envisioned on how people will play the game so it's not added.
This is super cool!
What's the oldschool Technics frame you're using for these? Did you repurpose an old technics product or are they selling something new like this.
I have an amp and tuner in the identical style and would love to do something similar.
I wouldn't focus on this for too long, as the art is already solid. But that being said what I see in this preview is a very nice improvement.
Good work!
Those are super cool!

Could not in good conscience give Musk any more ad revenue or the Kremlin bots sprouting imperialism any more attention.
Bit sad to lose all the connections and friends tho. At one point had 6k followers there. Gonna take a while to rebuild.

Much appreciate the follow, I'm very pro the movement and trying to sort my personal and work lives out to give as little money as reasonable to the US.
Switching everything I can without too great effort for European or especially Estonian stuff.
Keep up the good work!

Will get back to gamedev soon. :) Have been very busy with non #gamedev real life stuff. Some good, some bad, but everything is looking up and the future is bright.
Since I don't have any screenshots again yet, here's a pic I took on a nice walk in the old town yesterday:
That's a pretty good option. Thanks! :D

26.11.2024 11:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Understandable. Very actually.
I just lost someone very close to me in my family. A father figure. Life goes on, but it is an emptier lonelyer life.
I think we can keep going though and still live a great life. They'd want us to.
One trick is to reframe what stress means
Instead of all the usual negativity think of stress as your body and mind preparing yourself for big challenges. Its good your body has these responses, not bad.
(Was some research somewhere how this actually rewires the stress response to be less harmful)
There is a niche audience for almost any game design you can come up with.
That being said though, I think for what you are describing the audience is a decent size. Should be no problem. Streamers will like it as a one time challenge thing, so will players.
Clean AF.

Love all the rest of being here besides that.
Theres's a wholesome vibe of even such a joke post only getting nice "of course everyone who worked on the game is a gamedev" replies.
Looks good! Good work.
