Question: Why only 38% by 2100? Seeing the glacial retreat along the Icefields Parkway in Alberta in 2022 vs when I last visited 20 yrs ago, and knowing how snowpack is thinner at the top compared to its mid-section, I feel like it’ll be gone completely by the end of the century.

Evidence of old stubborn attitudes that bikes are just for recreation. These multi-use paths are an example of an ideal for commuting cyclists- away reckless drivers; quiet; serene scenery; nearly uninterrupted. They are also so successful that they have many overcrowded sections come summer.

As a driver, if I notice infrastructure that causes conflict between drivers and cyclists, I write my local councillor to build protected bike lanes in that area.

To be honest, I’d almost prefer a centrist perspective because it would illuminate how, according to the extreme right, that anything left of them is “leftist”, which would help alienate right-centrists from them into the left.
