Police standoff taking place in my fair city this evening, so I played stringer for my old station until their crew showed up. As one of my former colleagues said, "You may leave the news, but the news never leaves you."

State advocacy days for Texas Bleeding Disorders at the 89th Texas Legislature were a success. Floor recognition in both chambers. Plus, small talk about bottled water turned into the discovery that I share an aunt & uncle with Carly Walker from the Speaker's office.

I have it on good authority pfizer was told this, but ignored it, thinking we would come begging rather than taking our normal 'wait and see' approach. For comparison, extended half life drugs were out for 18-24 months before they started to get widespread acceptance.

'Effective' is debatable. Familiar is a more honest answer. We are a notoriously skeptical patient group (with good reason), so pharma has to be willing to put in the work on convincing us their product is safe...

Made the mistake of searching "hemophilia" on here to look for a friend. Now I'm butting into random conversations, hoping to enlighten some folks about our cause.

I know you're trying to be funny, but PNBD is an amazing non-profit trying to make lives better. Their work helped get legislation last year that blocked insurance companies from double dipping patient copays.
