In December #Labour & announced an amazingly ambitious plan for Clean Power by 2030 πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

In September, for the 1st time & for 1 hour, the UK’s entire electricity needs were met by #cleanpower. There has to be a first hour and it was 16 Sept.

Labour Government delivering a renewed Britain

I wonder why the BEEB are smearing Labour’s Chancellor on the day the UK economy starts to demonstrably improve πŸ€”πŸ™„

A gentle reminder that balance, not excess, is where peace lives. Let go, and find the calm waiting for you. #MindfulLiving

β€œit’s not for us to have shame – it’s for them”

Extraordinary courage from #giselepelicot. She was horrifically wronged by men - strangers and close family alike - and spoke out without hesitation

It’s on me and other men to expect more from eachother. Call it out, report it. There’s no excuse

Public chargepoints for electric vehicles - NAO report Public electric vehicle chargepoint installations are on track, but government needs to make sure they are located in the right places.

Public Electric Vehicle charging rollout going pretty well, according to NAO. Good πŸ‘πŸ»

Next step is making significant domestic home charging savings available to everyone (inc 38% without off-street parking)

Blame is important though, whilst Farage tries to drag the UK towards populism. Can’t let him off the hook.

Agree the economic indicators are very bad. This is a good sign though?: bsky.app/profile/alex...

Labour government quietly but surely trying to undo some of the damage of Brexit.

Defence spending increase sadly a necessity in a fractured Europe & with an isolationist US

International trade doesn’t happen in a vacuum though - restarts with closer cooperation, closer links, gradual rebuild…maybe a customs union in the future?

I always remember @mrjamesob.bsky.social on Brexit: β€œblame the liars, not the lied to”. Farage & Johnson being liars-in-chief

Nigel Farage, man of the people, welcomes his latest billionaire to Reform | John Crace Like our Nige, Nick Candy doesn’t appear to have any solutions to anything … but he does have very deep pockets

β€œHe thrives on despair. A man for all grievances. Farage has no real solutions to anything. A call to cut immigration to zero won’t begin to address the systemic problems within the economy. It’s just a soundbite to lure people inβ€œ Farage nailed by John Crace

Big contrast to the blatant corruption that festered under of recent Tory governments. Hodge is a welcome appointment for a very tough job. This Gvt is serious about tackling corruption.

Look forward new ideas under an Anti-Corruption Strategy. Dirty money is a huge issue in London especially

Except Labour are acting? The Brexit disaster is toothpaste out of the tube…sadly, we can’t just reverse it. Labour-led economic reset, closer ties on easier things, diplomatic unity - in 5 months we’re closer to the EU than we’ve been in 9 years. Long may that continue - for the good of the UK

Rayner was excellent on #BBCLauraK this morning - she’s a top communicator and clearly totally understands her brief. the fast-tracking of housing development and 150 infrastructure projects will quietly have a massive impact in the coming years

Launched today, I welcome sweeping cultural and operational changes to work and benefits - with the right support & skills many people can get back to meaningful work, bringing dignity and independence. Employers need to do their bit too - providing accessible work and opportunities for young people

Making up figures, blaming the media for asking questions, denying what he said in print, infantile criticisms of politicians. Trumpian. Completely undermines any serious point and belittles the importance of properly funded public services (think he uses the NHS?). Stick to comedy Jeremy
