Yeah there’s a specific dark look to the pre golden age stuff that I think is arguably more recognisable

About once a volume I've been messaging a friend of mine to say "did he really need to draw x" - the three murals on the wall, with detailing. The cloak on the stone statue on the left. Around 100 candlesticks. That kind of insanity plus all the jokes and small details in every panel, just the GOAT.

It has even more SA in it than I remembered, and I remembered it having too much, but other than that (at least some of it does serve a purpose beyond titillation) it's just fantastic.
