A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

I think it's basically impossible to predict what is going to happen. It's impossible for the shutdown to last even this long and it's impossible for the shutdown to end, per all reasonable political science.

So whatever happens next is going to be unprecedented.
