A chart showing the vehicle search rate from Q1 2022 to Q3 2025, in which the search rate for Black motorists stopped by police is nearly 10 times that of white motorists, and the rate for Latino motorists is six times that of white motorists.

A big lawsuit filed today accuses the NYPD of a racist and unconstitutional regime of vehicle stops and searches disproportionately targeting people of color. The stops frequently lack probable cause and more than 96 percent don't result in a gun arrest.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

This morning, in federal court, Frank Seddio professed outrage at any suggestion he's conspired to help steal $2 million.

“I find it offensive, the kind of allegations that have been made by plaintiffs’ counsel in this matter," he told judge. "I thought I was reading a James Clancy novel!”

My suggested headline for this post was "Get a Load of Elise Stefanik’s Governor-Crash-Out Pants," but my colleagues hate clicks and truth.
