Yup.

I’ve emerged alright.

Stripped down.

Lighter.

Freer.

Instead, in these last couple days of 2024 I feel like a mole who spent months digging through endless piles of dirt onto of her only to emerge to find herself blinded by the sunlight and try to look around and have

NO IDEA WHERE THE FUCK SHE IS.

That I would dig through my life with all the clarity I had achieved thus far and emerge at the end of the year feeling primed for a new version of myself that would hold herself with the confidence of someone who had done the work.

I took this picture right after a heavy therapy session, emotionally exhausted but also spent in that kind of way you can only achieve by confronting demons.

My word for 2024 was EMERGE.

I had a fantasy about choosing that word.

A TikTok ban will only fuel the anger of those who already despise the elites

Let us awaken to possibility of unity not despite them but because of them, so we may fight in the direction of liberation.

Defend. Deny. Depose.

Liberate.

As we awaken let it not be with sympathy or even empathy, because we aren’t looking across, we are looking from within.

As we awaken let it be to the realization that we were always already the same.

Even as they wrap some of us in perceived safety, the truth is we are only as safe as who is watching, who needs us to spend our money, extract our labor, and the value they give our bodies.

The people hiding are us.

The people tired, broken, sick and harmed are us.

But we are, in this binary of power that they tried to convince us had so much nuance so that we wouldn’t realize that the people in the streets are us.

Some of us are so deeply protected by the evilness, so deeply consumed by the false promises of a manifest destiny that was never more than a pyramid scheme of colonization, that we thought we weren’t.

There never were so many sides, only the two. The people benefitting so deeply from this system that their evilness has not even occurred to them. And the people in the streets.

It turns out, we are all the people in the streets.

The mistake was thinking that there were sides, an us and them that was as simple as who we vote for, the color of our hat and the flag we fly.

I don’t believe it was ever that we didn’t care. Only that we didn’t know. We didn’t realize that our minds were so deeply influenced in service of a system built for our labor and not for our lives.

We celebrate with Syria.

We bear witness to Palestine.

We learn from South Korea.

We realize that a young man on a bike might have had exactly the idea we couldn’t think of until now. Now, when it suddenly seems so obvious.

Projectors. Don’t buy into the bullshit. If we needed more of the same, you wouldn’t be here. #humandesign #humandesignsky

Super glad to ensure this man is recognized as the new CEO. That's the face to remember not our man on the bike...

OR nobody talks and we change the entire system and we don't need 50k just to get antibiotics once a year.

It's all coming together.

We can hope and also act because it's the perfect moment.

We've learned a lot about ourselves in the last few days and I hope we don't forget.

At this point it doesn't matter who the man on the bike is or if he stays free. What matters is the consciousness that has been awakened in an entire class, across parties.

Now everyone just let it simmer a little bit and then rinse and repeat.

The last few days have been the best the internet has ever been. We all collectively paused, looked at each other and asked, are we doing this? And the answer is yes.

Nothing is more healing than an assassination.

Yes, I find many self projected projectors hold on very tightly to control and do not feel good and a lot of bitterness pops up, but it's hard to break the impulse of that conditioning for them.
