A car with the license plate LRDHLMT

Found this incredible plate for my collection while walking my dogs this morning, which reminded me of the time my then 10 year old told me β€œSpaceballs is *way* funnier than Airplane, mom… he drank coffee through his helmet! *Through his helmet*, mom.”

Let me tell you a tale of how completely the normies have been mobilized. My 14 year-old niece has done School of Rock for the past 5 years; last summer she was part of their touring band, and the kids loved playing together so much that they decided to keep doing it. (1/?)

Well since I made it and therefore I can change it to do whatever I want, very well ;-)

TIL about chowdown - love your pricing approach (and PWAs FTW!)

My lifelong favorite has always been Renoir’s Two Sisters, which I last got to see when I was there in 2019. The art institute has soooooo many amazing pieces.

100% agree - the first couple of episodes were a bit wonky but ohhhhh it’s gotten gooooooood. The only ever trek I really got into was TNG (and I remember TOS fans saying TNG sucked), and I am loving SFA.

UI screenshot of a search result page, from Facebook mobile showing content generated by Meta AI.

The search bar at the top displays "sportsball".

The main content discusses a big game where the "Washington Seabirds" play the "Boston Yankees" in the "Superbowl of America", with varying reactions from the public and alternative activities for those not interested.

As a teen who read a lot, I loved Heinlein’s work and started working my way through every book on the library.

Then I read β€œFriday” and… and… I was probably already past my feminist awakening by that point for other reasons, but I think that’s when the *rage* started.

do you mean of bedlam? When I created the online version last year, I did a refresh of the physical box set as well so that it matched, because I made a *lot* of improvements to the card text as part of creating the online version.

A changelog for an application, updated on Feb-04-26, detailing feature updates.

The Feb-04 update introduces prompts to save frequently logged items as meals or routines, or update an already saved meal/routine with new values.

The Feb-03 update describes smart detection for referencing similar past food entries you've logged such as "another tilapia fillet like I had the other day"

JFYI if you're using it, I pushed out a couple new features today: logactually.com/changelog.

(Very intentionally *not* adding notifications or annoying behavior within the app when there's something new, but at the same time it's so danged *fun* to share the latest and greatest in a release...)

for now, it’s only costing me pennies for the hosting & AI credits, and I use it daily myself so it’s very simple to just eat the minimal costs of it and also make it available to others. Now if 10k DAU showed up all of a sudden that would change the calculus πŸ˜† but i could also make it open source

2026 Trans Girl Scouts To Order Cookies From! This year, consider ordering your Girl Scout cookies from a trans girl scout to make their day!

Hey everyone!

Huge news! Our trans girl scout list has sold a total of 146,000 boxes as of today!

But MANY trans girl scouts only have 20, 30, 40 boxes sold.

I just resorted our list to put those on the top.

Go get your girl scout cookies and make a trans kid's day!

Why thank you :) I added weight lifting tracking soon after I got food working and I think the overall UI model can work for logging a lot of different things, so I intentionally went with a generic name… and because #itme I went with a punny one :) I was thrilled that the domain was available.

A screenshot of a food logging app called "Log Actually". The user has entered "a costco hotdog but I only ate like half of the bun," and it logged two items: a beef hot dog, and a half of a dog bun. The total calories for the meal are 470, with macronutrient breakdowns shown. The app also features options for voice input, scanning, and saving meals.

I'm trying to eat better, so I tried two popular food tracking apps but *really* hate their UX (30+ clicks on first run just to get to the main page)

So instead I built my own that works the way my messy ADHD brain does where I can just braindump what I ate, and it does the math

I work at a Big Giant Firm on a High Priority Client with Very Ambitious People, most of whom aren't based in Minneapolis.

I wrote my team a super transparent message today, explaining that compartmentalization is impossible and I'm likely going to be bad at my job for a while.
