Like many other artists, I have removed my music from Spotify. It was not an easy decision. I personally know many people who use Spotify to listen to my songs and it breaks my heart to take that away from them.

However, between the fake artists propped up by Spotify, a CEO who invests in arms manufacturing, Discovery Mode (effectively the return of payola), the new ChatGPT integration, the general depravity of the platform economy and the big payouts for podcasters who spread right-wing lies while musicians, especially smaller ones, get almost nothing, I can't in good conscience allow Spotify to profit off of my art.

The current political climate calls for principles over complacency, so I humbly ask you to be slightly inconvenienced and look my music up on other platforms. I recommend Bandcamp, I use “pay what you want”-pricing there, so you can simply enter €0 and download everything for free if money is tight. For those who want to keep streaming: it’s also on Tidal and basically everywhere else. Hell, download it illegally and share it on Soulseek! You have my blessing

If my songs mean something to you: you have no idea how grateful I am for that. I will personally deliver a USB stick full of MP3s to your doorstep if it means you keep access to my music.
