Talarico, Pritzker, Crockett, Hogg, and a few others aren't afraid to fire back. Tim Walz was great at shooting from the hip and making himself clear.

My take is that many Democrats just don't see it as "proper" behavior. But why the hell should we be "proper" to pedophiles?

I've been a pain in the ass to these people. We all have to be.

We're in a cold civil war now. We need to act appropriately.

For the last few weeks, I've been yelling that this is a one-way rachet. None of this is going away, and it will only continue to tighten down. We don't face a mortal threat. We are living with one.

There are Dem leaders like Pritzker, Newsom, Mamdani, Crockett, Frost, AOC, Sanders, and Warren

I have been trying to light fires under the people we elected and are paying to use their political capital and power - whatever it happens to be - to put themselves in harm's way and quit thinking of re-election, because quite honestly, there may not be midterms.

With the help of groups like Indivisible, that's exactly what we're already doing. But it is not enough. We do not face authoritarian rule. We have it. I want my rep to join other reps and lead. I want my rep - a former immigration attorney - to call out ICE forcefully.

Me, too.

But it would be nice if Democratic leadership would be the ones calling for it. It's what we hired them to do.

I just got my weekly newsletter from my rep talking about baseball games and back to school. She mentioned tariffs one time. No urgency. No alarm.

We need to do better.
