I like to cook for people I am chaotic, welcoming, atheist but not against religion, cis. Go on walls with my plush companion, Monkey. I do like GIFs!
Ewoks are very cool
12.12.2025 21:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0We were watching the 3d installment of the original star wars series. Husband said beforehand "this is the one with the Ewoks, prepare for the 14y old squeeing" and yes, she did prolonged and elaborate squeels" and then there were baby Ewoks and she almost burst
12.12.2025 21:06 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Oh I do hope it isn't something scary. Glad it is taken seriously
12.12.2025 20:58 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sending you some love
(I looked for jelly bean but mistyped and this came forward!)
So good to hear :-)
12.12.2025 14:52 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh my god this is barbaric. How dare they. I hope there are protests.
12.12.2025 09:48 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I am considering volunteering for an organisation that couples bakers to children whose parents can't afford a cake. I doubt a bit because I don't bake the "right" types of cake, most kids desire a superman or a princess cake and that is really not what I do best. But i really like the idea
12.12.2025 10:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A way to make the horrendous old ones less painful.
12.12.2025 10:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It was so sad to realize what he had missed and how impactful that had been (my niece still lives at home and her parents sort of adopted him). Presents themselves aren't essential, but I think the emotional bond they can convey is precious.
I can only wish you many new memories and hopefully
An ex of my niece never had a present during his youth, his mom was chronically ill, and I guess not mentally well, and he was totally neglected, all attention went to his mom. When he got into a relationship with my niece it was the first time he got Sinterklaas presents and that kind of attention
12.12.2025 10:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0PS it was intended as a surprise but I did send you a teeny tiny present.
12.12.2025 10:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That is something you shouldn't do to a child (or an adult!!!). That is so much worse than just not giving presents. I am very angry on your behalf.
I know lessons from your childhood are deeply ingrained but let me assure you, you do deserve presents, you do deserve joy.
You are most definitely allowed to enjoy things, but I understand that sometimes everything seems to conspire against it. Is last year's incident something that might happen again (like was it some type of bad behaviour) or was it just a one of and does the memory haunt?
12.12.2025 10:07 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Any specific reason?
12.12.2025 09:56 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0That doesn't make it easier :-(
12.12.2025 09:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah, probably (or one hour at a time, or one minute in desperate moments). But on the other hand, if you can manage to look forward to things that can be helpful (i find looking forward to things hard, even when i am ok, so for me it is a big sign)
12.12.2025 09:42 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Forever is too much. Let me be convinced it isn't the case
(I mean, i will be holding hope, but i want to use different words each time)
I was in dubio between getting 1 to try it out or get a set of 6, thinking that if i got 1 and later wanted a set i would have a double. And then i saw the different sets of 6 and it is all more difficult again.
But I am too sleepy now to make any decision, so it has to wait
Oh, nice article! I had been looking at the pfeil options (partly because they were mentioned in several articles describing the choices in tools) but got a bit confused. I want a very small one, cause we don't have and I want to make thin lines. But this article shows several shapes to covet
11.12.2025 22:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh I didn't clarify, this is about lino cut knives
11.12.2025 22:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0#3GoodThings
1) wrote a first batch of Christmas cards
2) did immediately stamp and post said cards
3) made a decision to buy myself a set of professional lino knives (knives?), haven't decided which
Nor did I read about a difference between traditional cigarettes and vapes
11.12.2025 21:04 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It is difficult to say about safer, cause there is an extremely wide variety between vapes (level of nicotine, difference in flavouring, with different risk profiles).
The research was observational so they didn't experiment to see which element of cigarettes was responsible for the effect
I am going to act on the assumption everyone writes about the Netherlands
11.12.2025 20:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah, it all needs to be taken into perspective.
11.12.2025 20:49 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yes
If you want to promote your long term health you shouldn't vape. But I can understand that shorter term considerations override.
(It is however interesting how much these things (caffeine/nicotine) interact with each other and other processes in the body.
Yeah, but smoking reduces the effect of caffeine, so I guess you can try to get some balance (though smoking for long levity is a dubious undertaking)
The research wasn't very thorough, they didn't compare amount of caffeine but only cups (different types of coffee have diff amounts) they admitted
It was true.

I also don't really understand why the telomere effect is specifically for people with SMI. (Maybe the article explains, I only read a concise Dutch version) Maybe SMI increases the shortening of your telomeres and caffeine reduces that increase??!
Anyway, I like coffee
