As you are aware, l've been looking for support for you to fill the hours (care provider) couldn't do. Just to confirm, (old care provider) will not pick up your support again. You should make a plan about how your basic needs will be met when (care provider) stop (they may be flexible by a day or two if we tell them soon).

Part of an extremely shitty email from my social worker this morning. I hate him. He’s useless. How can I make my own plan for how my basic needs will be met if I’ve needed help with it my entire life???

I have no idea who his boss is and I’m worried that if I complain about him it’ll make things worse

The manager of the new care company came to see me today to tell me they’re going to stop doing my care. I could tell that was going to happen so I’m not surprised. It just means I have no care at all. My social worker does not seem to care and isn’t doing anything about it

I also asked my social worker what would happen with my care after 1pm today and he told me there is no one to help. I’ve had no meds, no food, no care at all. He said it’s not his problem. He keeps saying he has no duty of care. Who does then? Why is it ok to go from lots of support to nothing?

Today has been awful. The student nurse walked out during my appointment and left me alone. I’m meant to be 1-1 when out my house and ended up having a big meltdown. My GP has put in a complaint but I don’t think the student nurse should’ve been put in that situation in the first place

I hope you get some rest and actual bed space to sleep!!

I’m really dreading today. There’s still no plan for my care. I have an appointment at the GPs later on. Social work is making a student MH nurse take me alone. I’m glad she can support me but she doesn’t know anything about me and she’s a student on placement! Seems a bit unfair on both of us

Current care teams manager came to see me to tell me she was sorry it came to this and it wasn’t her decision. She also said my social worker is useless so I’m glad other people can see what he’s like

Lots has been happening.

- Ive been unwell. I had a bad fall too. GP thinks it’s bc of no morning meds.
- New carers still messing up.
- No one has been found to replace current carers so Monday I’ll have no care.
- My social worker told me the council said they don’t have a duty of care for me!!

It’s awful 😞

It makes me think that if they are this bad in my house what are they doing in other peoples houses? People that might not be able to say that things are wrong?

Today is the first day in ages that I got my morning meds and the rest of my support but only because one of my normal carers came in to do it in her own time. New carer sat in the kitchen on her phone the whole time which was annoying but what I expected

I don’t understand why an elder care company would take me on in the first place knowing my needs and my age! You’re right that they don’t care, It seems to be all about money. The social care system is a mess

My social worker is doing nothing. I’ve been emailing him and he’s ignoring all the issues. I had a GP appointment yesterday and she was emailing him about it but he kept saying to her that I’ve basically got to accept them or have nothing. I’m not getting the care I need though

I’ve had enough of the new carers getting everything wrong. They are still saying I’m refusing or declining my care which is not true at all they just aren’t communicating with me in the way I need. I’ve had no morning meds for about 6 days now because of this and I feel so unwell

Disabled people deserve more than the bare minimum to survive (not that many even get that)...

They deserve to have enough to try and find their best quality of life, to have support, and whatever they need to manage their health.

They deserve to be and feel safe.

I hope mischief gets better soon. The flowers are lovely

You do matter and you are important. Services are awful and im so sorry they’re treating you so badly. It really isn’t right or fair
