Yep. There’s no way. I re-read the New Yorker article where the writer went into the Capitol with the insurrectionists & interviewed people and what happened is disgusting and violent. They are trying to downplay it but those people were ready to kill someone. I mean they made a gallows.

Poem text: Inauguration Day The reindeer got lost in the fog and so did we. Picture a streetlight and the order of the lights. Picture a woman and her dog moving through mist. White fog of breath. A cold night once, in Paso Robles. Half a wave. Maybe the reindeer never wanted to come home.

I don't know what to do with it having been the inauguration today, so I'm just sharing this poem.
