One thing I've noticed is that at no point in ANY of this discussion has anyone on the Right shared their favorite Charlie clip, the quote of his they liked, the thing he wrote or said on air that they think is worthwhile or even vaguely supports the notion of who they say he was

When she was 16, the USTA pulled its support because they said she had to lose weight. In an essay for the Players’ Tribune, she wrote: “I was fat, and I was Black, so they took away my dream. Or at least they tried.” But her dream wasn't that easy to kill.

Taylor Townsend has more experience than any athlete alive fighting for respect and carving out space for herself in a sport that's told her repeatedly that she doesn't belong. Today is just the latest example of why tennis is lucky to have her.

Yeah, this is Ostapenko being blatantly racist and we should call it out for what it is.

i know Ostapenko does this to a lot of players but "no class, no education" isn't a very quiet dogwhistle.

I debated writing this. It can feel tempting, upon encountering yet another instance of this administration’s racism, to let it be. How many ways can you say the same thing over and over again? And yet we have to write it down, if for nothing else, so those who come after us know we were against it.
