It's a shame that the U.S. Open has completely changed what mixed doubles means by putting on an exhibition instead of a proper draw worthy of a major title. 🎾

I don’t get how the WTA accepts that à player like Siniakova gets shunned from that US Open mixed doubles. It should be the red line. She’s literally your World Number 1 and an active doubles Legend.

A reminder that women’s sports are kept separate from men’s not to protect women from always losing to men, but rather to ensure that no man ever loses to a woman.

Hey I didn’t play D1 & your opinion is totally valid. I think Sampras would still excel today & Fed could’ve thrived as a s&v’er if he opted to play that way. Djokovic has done well with it at times, particularly in matchups vs Medvedev. I don’t think the lack of s&v players = proof it can’t be done

A pal suggested that Prime Pete Sampras would be the 3rd or 4th favorite at Wimbledon this year. I’m not saying that’s wrong, but I have my doubts. It’s not the same grass and the ball bounces higher, but is it that hard to believe that stellar s&v’ers like Pete and Martina would still thrive today?
