13.07.2025 16:57 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0βI don't understand why this was allowed. I am very sad. All my career, it was like this,β Siniakova told me. When a sport can't make mandatory for its World No.1, doubles legend, Top 30 singles player last year, to have access to main draw, issue is bigger than mixed doubles. Because, what's next?
13.07.2025 13:34 β π 34 π 6 π¬ 1 π 1Sem Verbeek just became a Wimbledon champ, partnering with Katerina Siniakova for mixed doubles. You can see what it means to him.
It's a shame that the U.S. Open has completely changed what mixed doubles means by putting on an exhibition instead of a proper draw worthy of a major title. πΎ
I donβt get how the WTA accepts that Γ player like Siniakova gets shunned from that US Open mixed doubles. It should be the red line. Sheβs literally your World Number 1 and an active doubles Legend.
10.07.2025 19:44 β π 46 π 5 π¬ 6 π 1A reminder that womenβs sports are kept separate from menβs not to protect women from always losing to men, but rather to ensure that no man ever loses to a woman.
Iβm not making this up; thatβs literally the reason.
Hey I didnβt play D1 & your opinion is totally valid. I think Sampras would still excel today & Fed couldβve thrived as a s&vβer if he opted to play that way. Djokovic has done well with it at times, particularly in matchups vs Medvedev. I donβt think the lack of s&v players = proof it canβt be done
10.07.2025 01:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A pal suggested that Prime Pete Sampras would be the 3rd or 4th favorite at Wimbledon this year. Iβm not saying thatβs wrong, but I have my doubts. Itβs not the same grass and the ball bounces higher, but is it that hard to believe that stellar s&vβers like Pete and Martina would still thrive today?
