I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.

Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.

I don't think we would've seen the same amount of angst about how to relate to those demos if our folks felt like they had a strong sense of their own projects, power building and movement. But projecting guilt about our own helplessness onto almost 10 million ppl taking the streets aint it, king!

1) kids should be able to play sports with their friends
2) you want the government inspecting yr kid’s genitals? asking for chromosome and hormone tests? seems messed up!

What are they feeling? What does that harm feel like?

Being a good person is not a state of being. It's an aspirational journey. It's a goal.

And viewed THAT way, taking other people's feedback on board becomes less of a personal attack and more of a constructive way to reach it.

A good example of Dems not adapting to MAGA war mindset is that they keep telling reporters they can't engage on Trump's military occupations because it's a "trap" to entice them into a losing debate about crime. That concedes too much up front and plays by old rules.

It really can't be said enough: the goal of the "anti-woke" movement was always to destroy social norms against bigotry. And it worked. And there's a whole lot of purportedly "left" thinkers & commentators who helped it -- indeed, it couldn't have been done without them.
