The Labour MP Gordon McKee has tried to explain economics using biscuits. Nice try, but he’d have made more sense if he just ate them. He ends up waving a credit card around, claiming we’ve borrowed too much from lenders who are charging us too high a rate! Crumbs! Neoliberalism in biscuits!

So much for the Labour gov’s claim it will build 1.5 million homes. They are stuck in the same economic framework as the conservatives and lib dems, none of who can see the wood for the trees. We don’t need a market led building disaster, we need a gov financed social homes programme.
