But when pressed on the matter by the BBC's @evanhd.bsky.social, Tice said:
"If thereβs a legally-binding contract that can't be touched, that's one thing, right. But if there's any form of shenanigansβ¦We will view that very badly."
"A legally binding contract is a legally binding contract."
The letter says, very clearly:
"We will seek to strike down all contracts signed under AR7. Should you choose to participate, you should treat any long-term revenue streams and politically and commercially unsafe."
"Let me be clear: If you enter bids into AR7, you do so at your own risk."
On Wednesday, Reform's Richard Tice wrote to energy companies saying the party would "seek to strike down" existing subsidies for renewables if it takes power.
24 hours later he was on the BBC suggesting people had "misread" the letter and "a legally binding contract is a legally binding contract".
After years of campaigning, members of "Woodsbury Locals Say NO To Solar" breathe a sigh of relief as they gaze over their pristine, panel-free fields.
They won. The solar developers won't turn this village into a sea of glass.
On the horizon, a convoy of lorries full of uranium rumbles into view.
ait Borsay: "Do you think climate change exists?" Andrea: "I've said for a long time, we need to ditch net zero and actually focus on economic growth. A million percent." Kait: "But then how do you tackle climate change? And do you believe that climate change exists?" Andrea: "Do I believe that climate change exists? No." Kait: "Okay. So you are not a believer in climate, you know, despite rising global temperatures, melting glaciers, rising sea levels, despite all of that evidence?" Andrea: "It depends. It depends what evidence you look at.... I think it's a way to actually make money." Kait: "Okay. But you don't believe climate change exists. And so that's why there is no need for net zero, in your opinion." Andrea: "Absolutely. And I think it's harming industry. I think it's a money making racket where certain businesses and individuals are making money out of it."
Reform mayor Andrea Jenkyns tells Times Radio that she doesnβt believe climate change exists, and that itβs just a βracketβ for some people to make money. If Reform win the next election, the UK could become a very different place quite quickly.

A photo of a school building taken on a sunny day with a blue sky above. The building is a striking, light green colour, with rectangular facade panels covering the entirety of its walls. Bright green railings are visible in the foreground leading to one of the entrances.
Just look at this school - called "The Frog" (!) in the Netherlands. That green facade generates electricity. Those are solar panels!

bar chart showing deaths associate with extreme heat with and without climate change in 12 European cities
About 1500 of the approx. 2300 people that will have lost their lives across 12 European cities last week would still live, if it wasn't for our burning of oil, coal and gas. If we care about the right to life, we need to stop burning fossil fuels. www.imperial.ac.uk/grantham/pub...
