In the darkest hole of my heart, I admit I want to paint one of those big shoulders Saturnine Terminators, but not hunting down a giant box want. I guess at some point they will come out in a box all their own?
Or maybe there's an STL I can track down.

When I was looking for mini related stuff around where we are staying in Cornwall, I found this company that does whole base caps. Like sheets of grass tufts, but bigger and stonier.
I think they're pretty cool, could probably use some pigment powder or oil wash to shade and redirect light a bit?

Trying something with the sword. Hoping for a magic summoned thing. Will I get there? Will have to find out after vacation.

Yeah, I did the Vinnie V. trick of red, sunny skin, flor red, red glaze. I do like those Ionic smartpaints, wish they were uncontroversial. Added a bit more flor red/orange on top. Shading is red + Blanche's The Darkness, which is also used as the base on the grasping hands.

More #wip before work.
Think I've hit the upper limit of bringing up the reds before they go into orange/pink, so will need to rely on shading to bring up the contrast more.
Not sure what I want to do for metal (sword, bra, collar). Not confident in my NMM yet to swing it there.

It's like a monkey's paw curse! My problem is that I get 80% there and donk something up and then donk up the fix and so on and so on til it is donks all the way down.

Thanks! And thank you for making them - they're fun to paint and a bit of a palette cleanser from usual fantasy fare. I'm sorry that I've been using them as practice for new techniques - feels like I'm short changing you somehow when I share. I'll should buckle down and do one up full test soon!

The culmination of a few experiments. I think the NMM chestplate reads pretty well, but dang if I did not go round and round on the sword. Eventually I just slapped a flor blue wash on an okay attempt and am calling it magical.

And here are two proofs drying. One of the reasons I carved this, beyond trying out that artists posing site, was to have something in hand if I wanted to have a real artist sculpt or draw a version of her. It's getting more and more awkward to go to a creator with a bunch of Midjourney results.

The STL came from a rando Kickstarter I backed and, once you look past the obvious assets, it's kinda weird. For ex, notice the weird 90 degree robe corner on her right thigh.

Here's my Limited Insertion list. You end up generating two groups worth of orders, so might work in other scenarios. Wrecking Crew does the business - Rocket Wrecker is terrifying and Spitty helps defend them when they realize. Jamie Haris also gets a lot of shit done. Mission dependent, tho.

Quick clay roller base - dry brush, wash, pigment powders, done.

I very much have a love hate relationship with basing. I understand their importance, but dang it I just want to be dunzo with the piece sometimes, yanno?

Live the Good Life: Double Wrecker.

Clay was on sale last week so whipped up a batch of delicious base cookies. Finally found a roller that was more in scale of 75mm figures, so hope to get some easy basing use out of them.

Dynamic poses beyond "menacing with sword and/or cleavage" that help tell the story of the mini. I understand that swords and/or cleavage are a selling point for many, but they shouldn't be the focus of the pose. Sneaky lads should sneak, fun gals should laugh, cowards dive for cover, etc.
