Also, complain long and loud, when GenAI screws up your interaction with a company - obtaining/using their products, contacting customer service, whatever. Do this direct and on social media. Employees may well be unable to push back against directives to use this garbage without risking their jobs.

Also, not for nothing, but dismantling capitalism will be virtually impossible if this weird AI coup they are attempting works. Reality will be so destabilized and impossible to agree on we will fracture into dust.

You've really got to fight this, everywhere and time you see it. It's vital.

This is one of those times where societal pressure can really work. I disengage with anything I see using AI and I tell them so. If we don't fight this, we could end up in a terrifying new paradigm of digital slavery an order of magnitude worse than we currently have.

stop rolling over & saying “Well, you just have to get used to it. You can’t stop it”… how’d that work for <insert absolute garbage tech or even any insidious, violent movement (like the NF or N*zis) here>?

This isn't unstoppable. It's not inevitable. It's greedy, short-sighted anti-human solipsists that have been rewarded by crony capitalism to the point of being toxic toward society, who think they have the right. These are the same people that want to go to space, but only with the "right" people.

It's cost me my livelihood personally, but it's coming for all of us. Literally all of us. So many people have dismissed me because it's a bubble and bubbles burst, but like, this one needs opposition. This bubble NEEDS to burst, and the entire apparatus of rich people is trying to reinforce it. We have to make AI not only a class traitor thing, but extremely dorky and uncool.

They are trying to cram it down our throats so deep it can't get dislodged. And short sighted, greedy, uncritical people are just lapping it up. One of the reasons I'm so loud and aggro about this is I hope people not paying attention get wind that not everybody is just okay with this happening.

Sure, they've made an environmentally catastrophic mass hallucination disinformation plagiarism Clippy that will destabilize the world, but also their other goal is to replace human workers entirely and let us humans starve. A boycott of AI is the most important boycott of your entire life.
