It not about expecting a damn thing from them. Its about making sure the non voters hear loud and clear that they step up and help vote these fucks out. You do that by calling out the bullshit. The few Republicans who abandon ship along the way are a bit of gravy on top.

Watch out for a metric fuckton of bots blaming everything on Democrats and any politically left group. Itll be especially bad since AI can churn out the bullshit faster that troll farms ever could.

Hateful is a better word. There are many people with lesser education or mental ability that have very warm hearts, and are essentially good humans. Trump supporters specifically lack empathy and cheer on violence towards any out group. If there is no out group, they tear at each other.

Pretty safe to say at this point, Trump supporters and ice supporters have nothing behind their eyes. They are empty vessels that try to fill the void with hatred and greed. That's all they are. That's all they'll ever be. Cut them out of your life wherever possible. They only bring woe.

While I'm chewing through dungeon crawler Carl books,I take little detours with graphic novels. My most recent get is 'The Sickness'. A horror story about a mysterious illness that caused severe hallucinations and eventually, violence. A great slow burn with beautiful (and gross) art. #books

Murder by ice again. Extremely clear proof that it was murder, again. Immediate lies about it from the administration...again. untrained, uneducated and emotionally unstable apes are running amok in ice. American conservatives cannot govern, cannot create. They can only steal and destroy.

I usually love puzzle games that reveal their actual nature through gained knowledge ( Tunic, void stranger, etc ). I thought I would adore Blue prince because I also enjoy a good roguelike. Turns out those two flavors together do not work for me. I appreciate that it exists though.

Ok. Silent hill 2 may not have been the best escape, though it is pretty great. Instead, I'll finish reading Dead silence. A book about being stuck in a terrible place and assaulted by your horrible mental state...FUCK!

To help distract from (gestures broadly at the world) I played and finally beat silent hill 2 remake. A fantastic game about being stuck in a horrible place and assaulted by your own terrible mental state...HEY WAIT A MINUTE!

During moments when I tear myself away from the horrors of what's going on in my country, I read. I just finished the 3rd book in the dungeon crawler Carl series. Before I hit the 4th, I'm reading a horror titled "Dead silence" by S. A. Barnes. Pretty good so far! #booksky

Absolutely. He's an excellent world builder while also managing to fill them with interesting characters. His book "Children of time" was the first I read. I now own many of his books. Had to take a break from him due to getting too used to his style actually lol.

That's a real fun series when you finally dive in. I thought it would be too light and silly for me. I'm tearing through the third book now and the fourth is already on its way.

Recently started it too. I read reviews saying this was a straightforward story. I'm only a little ways in but I strongly disagree. It's clearly playing with a lot of modern writing conventions. I'm quite enjoying it so far.

My latest way to temporarily escape societal collapse is to play silksong and read comics written by Tom King. Mister miracle being a standout book the feels extremely relatable under current circumstances.
