Out and about in Stamford Brook today!

Great to speak with residents about what matters most — from community safety and fibre broadband to the long-overdue potholes repaired on the Bridge near Waitrose.

Ending the winter fuel allowance for most pensioners, cutting benefits for the disabled, refusing to end the two-child benefit cap, and drastically cutting financial support for adopted children… was perhaps not a good idea.

People voted for Labour expecting change — not more of the same.

If we want to avoid war, let's make sure tyrants like Putin or Xi Jinping know we mean business.

It's either we increase defence spending now, build up an army fit for purpose, and work with other European nations to build a new European alliance, or we will all regret it when Russia or China attack us.

Connor Rand MP and I will continue to push for urgent improvements to ensure safe, reliable, and accessible public transport for all Broadheath residents.

Leaving children stranded due to overcrowded buses is unacceptable.

Services must improve so that Broadheath residents can receive the reliable public transport they deserve.

I've contacted Amey and One Trafford and asked them to clear the area ASAP.

I met with residents living near Attenbury’s Lane to talk about the state of the lane. Clearly, the area has been neglected for years!
From blocked gullies to self-seeded trees growing on years of leaves and soil left on the pavement, residents are right to be concerned about the state of this road.

If we want to boost the economy and if economic growth is a priority, then surely investing in our rail network should come first.

There is no proper economic case for it; that's why it was abandoned by the previous government.

Meanwhile, in the Northwest of England, trains around Manchester and Liverpool are still running on diesel. ..

If you really think that a third runway at Heathrow is what the country needs, think again.
Not only was the evidence for expanding the terminal to boost the UK’s economic growth commissioned by Heathrow itself, but the environmental damage it would cause is simply unacceptable.

Kim Jong-un has deployed a "zombie" army to the battlefield in Ukraine as North Korean soldiers reportedly hurl themselves into Ukrainian defences in "futile" waves.

But we should not ignore concerns about immigration either. Using hotels to house asylum seekers isn't a long-term solution.
The UK government must stop the boats crossing the English Channel, dismantle the gangs profiting from migrants, and guarantee safe routes for asylum seekers.

Streeting is right. The best way to defeat the populist right and Reform UK is by addressing bread-and-butter issues: the NHS, the cost-of-living crisis, and ensuring we support the economy. We need a positive vision for the country.
